Apple#2
First night away: needed somewhere or other to sleep in the middle of France, boring yawn yawn. Ended up, thanks to a last minute search on bookings.com, paying the price of the boring-yawn-yawn room we had anticipated but being given the best suite in the Chateau at Hattonchatel. A fairytale castle for a night! Private balcony with east facing view, adjoining sitting room, and candle-lit bathroom all included.
And an apple puree (as you do, apparently, if you are French) on the breakfast buffet table. Nice.
