It takes a double miracle for me
to see your soul; for both you and I must
move off our routine paths for it to be
revealed: a moment’s pause will be enough,
as our eyes meet, to share your burning bush.
Or will our busy lives’ distractions fill
our days and nights: our unremitting rush
forfeiting that which matters most of all?
All that counts is this: that I love you
and you love me. So, when some divine spark
ignites your passion, lift your head; gaze through
your love-deep eyes to seek me in the dark.
